The beauty and energy of Brazil, where I was born, are a constant source of inspiration to me. I studied fashion in Brazil, then moved to New York to continue my education at the Fashion Institute of Technology. After FIT, I held jobs at Macy’s and Victoria's Secret as a personal stylist and as a merchandiser. Here, I learned the importance of balancing the artistry of style with business goals and my client's budgets.
Then the pandemic arrived, and like millions of Americans, my job disappeared. Never one to sit still, I dusted off my sewing skills and got to work making face masks for family members.
After a few small improvements, I started making masks for friends. My masks caught the eye of a local fire department here in Brooklyn, and I made 30 masks for them. I’ve donated masks to school fundraisers, and have even provided masks for my son’s entire baseball team. It has been such an unexpected joy to do this work, and see my masks out in the world.
These are the 78 Precinct Baseball players Bantam and Orange Mangoes who were very protected every game with onepiecewear masks.
These masks are beautifully made. The detail and craftsmanship is amazing! And I love the area you contoured for the eyes and nose.
